Apple iPod Touch 64GB 4G - iPhone 4 Not-The-Biggest Competitor (Yet)
Apple had just launched the newest generation of iPod Touch in October 2010, the iPod Touch 64GB 4th Generation. Seeing how well Apple perform in the market during the last three years, it's no wonder that many experts and Apple fan boys predicted the iTouch 64GB 4G will also selling well like a hot donut in the market. They also confidently boasted this device as one of the future main contributor of Apple's revenue.
iTouch was introduced to the market for the first time in 2007. Back then, not even Apple could foresaw current success of this device. iPod Touch was actually a breakthrough from Apple by shifting its music player to a total entertainMent device. Users can listen to the music, Watch the movies and even browse the internet with it. The product was a phenoMenal hit and Apple continued to launch other series with even better features.
The new Apple iPod Touch 64GB 4G comes with many interesting feature like the beautifully vibrant Retina Display (960 x 640 resolution at 326 pixels per inch), Faster 1GHz A4 Processor, 5MP rear camera and front facing video call camera using FaceTime technology, sexier design and better power manageMent (up to 40 hours of songs playback per one full charge). It seems like the only significant difference between iPod Touch 64GB 4G and the iPhone 4 is the capability of making calls. The FaceTime feature even enabled users to communicate with other iPod and iPhone users with ease.
The only drawback from launching this version of New iTouch 64GB is the increasing likelihood that customers will prefer it over iPhone 4. In addition to the strikingly similar features, iPhone 4 products were also hit by many problems, like the famous "dead grip". As such, customers who intend to make use of iPhone multimedia capability may turn their heads to iTouch. Whether or not it will be able to slowly diminished iPhone market is yet to be known and interesting to Watch for.
